Antalya Took 4th Place in Europe's Most Visited Cities Ranking

In recent years, Turkey has been welcoming countless guests from many parts of the world with its strong tourism network. Istanbul, a world city, has an exponentially increasing number of visitors every year with its ancient history and culture.

In addition to Istanbul, Antalya, an ambitious city in tourism, stands out as a competitive actor in tourism every day. In 2023, Istanbul ranked first and Antalya ranked 4th in the "World's Most Visited Cities" research conducted by Euromonitor International.

Nearly 16 Million Visitors

In addition to Istanbul, which surpassed London and Dubai with nearly 19 million visitors in 2023, Antalya also surpassed Paris, the capital of France, with nearly 16 million visitors. Hong Kong and New York, which are also on the list, ranked behind Antalya in terms of visitor numbers.

According to the report, Turkey is expected to increase these numbers for both cities in the coming years. Especially with advantages such as the exchange rate difference and attractive vacation options, it is said that Antalya is likely to rank even higher in the lists.

Why Antalya?

Hosting more than 12 times more guests than its population, Antalya attracts attention with this success. Antalya, which is among the preferences of German, Russian and British tourists, allows people from these countries to have a pleasant holiday, especially in the summer months.

Antalya's large coastline and quality hotel services allow it to surpass other cities in the Mediterranean. It is also said that in 2024 and the following years, the rate of these visitors will be around 30%.
