The most commonly applied methods are FUE Technique and DHI technique. There is no scarring after the treatment since no suturing is performed. It is important to follow your doctor's instructions.

Things to Consider After Hair Transplantation

It is not recommended by physicians to enter the pool shortly after treatment. While your scalp has not yet healed, chemicals such as chlorine in the pool adversely affect your treatment. If you enter the pool before your wounds are fully healed, you may get an infection. In addition, the transplanted hair can be severely damaged. As a result, you may experience hair loss. The salt in the sea damages your unhealed skin after treatment. After 15 days of FUE or DHI hair transplantation, the scabs on your scalp begin to fall off. After these scabs fall off, it is possible to enter the pool or the sea. As a guarantee, you can enter the sea and pool approximately 15-20 days after the procedure. This period is longer in the FUT technique, which is another method. In this method, the healing process takes 4 or 6 weeks. Entering the sea or pool before 1-2 months is inconvenient for your treatment. However, you should keep in mind that these numbers vary from person to person. You should also look at your skin and its reaction to the treatment. Depending on the reaction of your skin, this period can be longer.

The main risk after hair transplantation treatment is the sun rays you are exposed to when you are in the sea or pool. When entering the sea or pool, you should protect yourself from the sun much more than usual. You should especially avoid swimming at noon. It is useful to stay away from the sea or pool during the hours when the sun's rays fall steeply.  When swimming in the pool or sea, you should protect your scalp from the sun's rays the most. You can use high-protection sunscreens that will not damage the hair follicles. If you plan to wear a swimming cap to avoid getting infected, you should make sure that the hair transplanted part of the scalp is fully healed. It is also beneficial for you to consider your sweating condition when using a cap. The treated area should not be exposed to too much contact. Hats or bonnets that are not too narrow work well in these cases.

Hair transplantation is a very permanent and natural method. Although successful results are generally obtained from the treatment, what is done after the treatment also greatly affects the result. You should be sensitive to your scalp in the early stages of treatment. Otherwise, actions that will damage your skin negatively affect the treatment. It is recommended to keep your hair away from water in the first few days. For this reason, the pool or sea option is only possible when your scalp heals.
